BCS CHEER COACHES

Program Head Coaches: Allison Smith & Brooke Staton

Followng up with a co-coach set up in 2022-2023, the Winter 23-24 season, BCS and BHS will have two coaches working with them - and once again the same coaches. This year however, it will be Brooke Staton returning to the sidelines to team up with Allison Smith.

Coach Allsion Smith took over the BCS Cheerleading program as a head coach in the winter of 2019-2020. She has been a volunteer with the high school program for the last few seasons and was a varsity cheerleader at Brewer High School during her time at BHS (Class of 2013). The 2023-24 season marks her fifth season coaching BCS Cheer.

Coach Smith comes to BCS with several years of competetive cheerleading experience. She excelled on the mat and in the classroom and hallways for the Witchess as a cheerleader. Ali was an original member of Brewer High Schools Student-Athlete Advisory Council and captain of her squads.

She is now a teacher at Brewer Communtiy School in the Special Education departement.

Coach Staton returns to BCS Cheer after a few years off recently.

The arrangement to have co-coaches at both BCS & BHS allow these two BCS full time staff members to continue to connect with potential student-athletes for the middle level program, provide a positive experience at BCS which will ultimately lead to a love for the sport through their high school years. This ensures we have proper coverage at all practice sessions as well.
