This innate competitive drive bodes him well as he continues to perfect new strokes and scores points for the Witches. By the second dual meet of his freshman year, Jackson shaved 2 seconds from his 50 yd. free time and even swam the 100 yd. breaststroke in competition. He placed 2nd in the 100 yd. breast and was on the 1st place 200 yd. Free Relay vs Falmouth also shaving 7 seconds off his 100 yd. freestyle time! The first meet of 2022, Jackson contributed to the first Men's Team win of the season against Hampden...Jackson swam the 200 yd. free for the first time in competition and achieved career best times in the 100 yd. backstroke and 100 yd. freestyle. Jackson continued to show improvement from week to week, slashing 4 seconds from his 100 free, 6 from his 100 breaststroke, and 5 from his 100 backstroke. He even swam the 500 free and 200 IM for the first time in competition. His hard work paid off as Jackson placed 12th in the 100 yd. backstroke at the 2022 PVC Championships! Jackson earned Brewer’s Most Improved Swimmer Award for 2022!  Jackson continues to make his mark on the swim scene his sophomore year, winning his two events, 200 yd. free and 100 yd. backstroke, in the Brunswick meet on December 22nd!  Improvements in his swimming times kept coming his sophomore year, most notably a whopping 46 second time drop in his 500 yd. freestyle and 18 seconds in his 200 yd. IM! Jackson had an amazing swim winning the 200 yd. freestyle by 20 seconds in the meet against Messalonskee. He also won the 200 yd. IM and 100 yd. breaststroke in the meet against John Bapst! Jackson wrapped up his sophomore season with a 9th place finish in the 100 yd. backstroke at the 2023 PVC Swimming & Diving Championships!
