Legacy “B” Sweater Award Presented by the Brewer Athletic Hall of Fame
Application Instructions:
Deadline: May 11, 2024
Applicant Criteria:
1.) Must be a junior in good standing academically and athletically
2.) Must have participated in 4 out of the 9 seasons of sport up to this point of your junior year at Brewer High School. Does not have to be varsity level.
3.) Must have volunteered at a Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony a minimum of one time (set up or clean up or during the event)
4.) Must be a student-athlete of good character and exhibit qualities that embody the mission statement of the Hall of Fame (strive for excellence and distinction in all athletic and non-athletic endeavors through individual effort, team work, dedication and perseverance) as determined by the Athletic Director, Coaches and Hall of Fame Committee Members.
5.) Must fill out the online application below which includes uploading a typed essay (Word doc or pdf) no more than 500 words OR a video of your oral presentation (mp4 or MOV file) no more than 3 minutes in duration describing “What it means to me to be a Brewer Witch”.
Selection: One Legacy B Sweater will be awarded annually.
Presentation of Award:
1.) Recipient will be presented with a framed vintage Legacy B Sweater at the annual Brewer High School Wrap-Up event in June by the Chairperson of the Legacy B Sweater Committee or their designee.
2.) Recipient will have their name affixed to a perpetual plaque placed in the Hall of Fame area of Brewer High School.
3.) Recipient’s winning essay or oral presentation video will be uploaded to the Hall of Fame website and showcased at the upcoming Induction Ceremony.
4.) Recipient will be invited to attend the Induction Ceremony in the fall of their senior year to participate in the Legacy B Sweater display.
