The Brewer School Department supports the offering of a variety athletic summer opportunities. 

A few things to consider and remember: 

1- the coaches are volunteering. There is no Brewer School Department pay associated with anything offered in the summer. Brewer School Department coaches technically only work from the MPA mandated start date and through the final countable competition on their schedule. 

2- the offerings are OPTIONAL to attend. Like anything in life, the more one puts into something, hypothetically, the better one gets at this. This is no different in learning, physical exercise, and sport. While particiapnts will not be "punished", those who choose to access the extra opportunities may gain advantage over those who don't, as they are improving in these areas. 

3- attendance is "at-will". There are inherent risks assoicated with participating in athletic competition and trainings.
